Japinder helped me exceed my target GRE score of 330. She was instrumental in helping me achieve a score of 332 (Q: 170/170 | V: 162/170 | AWA 4/6), which translates to a GMAT score of 760/800 (Official ETS GRE to GMAT Converter). She went above and beyond from what was required to help me address my weaknesses in verbal and believed in me in a way that I did not.

Japinder follows a very rigorous process and methodology to help you overcome your weaknesses and takes a very individual-driven approach to design coursework and plan your studies.

I worked with her for over six months, starting with a mock base score of 319 (Q:163 | V: 156) and made a whopping 13 point increase over time. She is extremely knowledgeable, and it was fascinating to learn how to read a sentence and interpret the finer nuances. Though I was strong in Quant, she added a lot of value in this area too, with her expert guidance on what I was doing wrong and why I was not scoring to my full potential.

Japinder is a thorough professional and more. She helped me plan out different test-taking strategies and suggested unique improvement plans centered around my needs.

More than anything else, I thoroughly enjoyed my sessions with her as it was a delight to learn something new and insightful that I did not know before. As a result of my tutelage under her, I have improved the way I read and think. She kept pushing and encouraging me to score beyond what I thought was possible. My score would not have been possible without her.

Thank you so much, Japinder!

As a humanities student, I was apprehensive about the Quantitative section in the GRE. I can safely say that all my worries were gone after meeting Japinder ma’am. I had given her the tall order of wanting to go from a Q149 to a Q160 – in a month!

From the get-go, she pointedly asked me about my apprehensions, how much material have I previously covered studying for the test and my comfort level with different topics. I was given a clear breakdown of classes and with her guidance, was able to make a structured schedule with my deliverables for each day.

She puts a great deal of effort and care into the classes – painstakingly working on the mistakes you made and having utmost clarity about what she is doing. Your work is curated for you – she suggests topics that need more work and you never feel that you are simply solving random questions with no-end.

Above everything else – I believe that is extremely kind and understanding. Through my 20+ hours of interaction with her, I found her to be a patient person with a knack for practicality and optimisation. The tailored-approach to teaching combined with a deep understanding of GRE is an unparalleled combination she offers. I have attempted the GRE before and spoken to many people about it. However, her nuanced observations about the exam were completely foreign to me. She also writes fabulous articles showcasing her deep knowledge of the exam and I found them to be insightful and helpful.

A month later, I ended up scoring a Q159!
A 10 point jump was possible only because of her focused-guidance.

I would highly recommend her services to anyone who is looking to give the exam and wants a streamlined & effective approach to getting their dream score. 🙂

Japinder is a fantastic GRE coach. We worked together for 3 weeks and I have managed to improve my overall score for 5 points in total. Japinder worked with me systematically helping me understand my problem solving patterns in quant, ensuring that I understand the underlying causes of my mistakes and then providing me with structured practice to avoid repeating those mistakes. This system worked well for me. I went into the test calm and confident in my abilities. In addition to well structured coaching, Japinder was also very flexible with scheduling. This was immensely helpful to me because I had to work with short timelines and a busy work schedule as well. I’d recommend working with Japinder any day!

After studying with two private tutors, three paid online courses and numerous online resources, I can say that I have never come across any private tutor who knows GRE as well as JK.

She is not only very professional and intelligent, but also very supportive and kind. Having worked with a lot of coaches in my life and been a coach myself, I would easily put her in the top 1% of the people for her punctiliousness and subject matter expertise.

I couldn’t get her coaching the first time I reached her, because she accepts very limited number of students at a time. I realized only after a few sessions that although JK bills us only for the given session’s time, she invests multiple hours before and after every session so that the student can benefit the maximum in that given time.

The best thing about working with JK is that she is going to instruct you to do very limited content, homework and study, and you can trust her advice on that. This saves one a lot of time and also reduces the prep stress.

I wish I connected with her earlier, which’d have saved me a lot of valuable time, money, and opportunity cost while setting me up for success. I hope that many more aspirants can make the most of her guidance.

Japinder Kaur is an outstanding instructor. Her approach to enhancing one’s GRE performance is both personalized and effective. Every exercise in her session is a learning opportunity, adding immense value to each class. After taking lessons with her, I achieved a score of 168 in the quantitative section. I wholeheartedly recommend Japinder; she is highly professional, flexible, and thorough. At the same time, her classes are both engaging and fun.

Japinder is the best GRE tutor I have ever used. We worked on the Quantitative Reasoning section and she was able to help me increase my score 5 points, which was 3 points above my goal score! Japinder is extremely thorough and always available to answer questions. She would send me additional detailed video explanations of any questions I messaged to her after our sessions. She was flexible around my school schedule and was always able to find a convenient time to meet with me despite the large time difference between us. I would not have been able to do as well on the GRE without her help! I will always be extremely grateful for her coaching and would highly recommend her to anyone!

I have been a student of Japinder’s for a year. As a person with minimal quantitative background, GRE quant was a big hurddle for me. Japinder managed to help me build confidence in the quant section of the GRE, taught me all concepts needed to build a solid quant foundation and in the process made me feel that quant could be my strong suit. I could not recommend Japinder enough for anyone thinking of sitting for the GRE.

I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my target score of 333 (V167 Q166) without Japinder ma’am’s help – especially the increase in my quant score from 160 to 166. Not only does she have an incredibly tailored approach when it comes to tutoring, but she also has an uncanny ability to know and understand your mistakes and mindset more than you do!

Every class of hers included a detailed breakdown of your solved work, where she painstakingly compiles it into a PPT and dissects it until you understand the fundamental concepts behind each (important) problem/mistake. The post work exercises are also tailor-made according to problems that you may have struggled with, and really test your understanding of concepts. Moreover, having re-taken the GRE, I completely agree with ma’am’s focus on balancing depth and breadth – it is perhaps wiser to revise and understand 500 odd questions in detail vs spreading yourself too thin trying to solve everything but developing a superficial understanding of core concepts – this is something that ma’am stressed on from day 1.

Lastly, ma’am was super patient in helping me not just with quant concepts, but also with suggestions on how to deal with exam day anxiety – something I did struggle with. I would highly recommend Japinder ma’am to anyone looking for guidance with their GRE prep!

I’ve worked with and studied under countless teachers in the past, but never have I had the fortune to learn from a teacher who goes out of her way to ensure you learn. Japinder made sure that her students are not only well-equipped for the test, but are also proficient in their knowledge of fundamental concepts.

Her support wasn’t limited to just the textbook knowledge – she also prepared me to take an exam by making sure I was in the right state of mind and body so I could make it across this and many more hurdles to come. Japinder inculcated in us the art of keeping stress-free, and being prepared for any outcome. She made it a point to check in on me before my exam and make sure I was eating and getting enough rest! I could not ask for a more supportive mentor at this point in my journey, a milestone marked by chaotic tasks like figuring out scores, universities and courses.

I highly recommend Japinder as a teacher to anyone looking for guidance in it’s truest form for writing an exam.

In case someone is certain about not only taking but rather acing the GRE exam, go no further than taking guidance of Japinder Ma’am. I took her help to strengthen my verbal section and increased my score by 7 points. Her ways of teaching are not traditional with a lot of emphasis on the importance of focused practice & high level of proficiency. The skills that I have gained while working with her are not only limited to the exam but rather can easily be emulated to every walks of my life. To summarize , I would like quote Bruce Lee to culminate the prowess of JK Ma’am “ I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once(that was me before her guidance), but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times(this was me again but after her mentoring).

Keep inspiring JK Ma’am!

Japinder is an amazing tutor and mentor. Her coaching style is unique; she focuses on first building foundational concepts and then providing the proper structure to step by step develop the mindset and the skills to tackle the exam.  She makes herself available regularly and is very generous with her time.

As a direct result of her tutelage, I was able to improve my verbal score by 7 points to 163 from a baseline of 156.

Background: I had enrolled into many coaching institutes to prepare for the GRE exam but failed to achieve my target score. I consulted JK to help me prepare for the GRE verbal section.

Preparation: To ace the SE and TC section of the exam, JK shifted my focus to deconstructing the question stem. This meaning-based approach gave me a renewed sense of confidence. I ditched rote memorization of words and started to lay more importance on building my vocabulary. I extensively used JK’s book “Vocabulary Advantage” in my preparation.

The reading comprehension section was tackled as we tried to analyze the passage as an argument and not skim the passage for answers to the question stem. This approach helps overcome the anxiety in the test leading to better time management.

JK’s USP is she is able to recognize and empathize with the difficulties of aspirants who are navigating their full-time jobs and their test preparation. She is meticulous in preparing for her classes and assigning pre-work and post-work. Personally for me she doubled as a mentor in not only preparing me for the test but also encouraging me to have a positive outlook towards the admission process as a B- School aspirant.

Outcome: A five-point increase in my GRE verbal score and an admit into my target MBA program with scholarship.
